Top 4 Things To Do in Aruba

  1. Flamingo Beach on Rennaissance Island

Flamingo Island is a picturesque beach with activities, beautiful scenery, and of course - flamingos.

This island is reserved for guests who stay at the Rennaissance Hotel, but a select # of visitors are allowed per day. The entrance fee is about $100/person, and it is not guaranteed you will get a spot as they take capacity very seriously.

My tip is to book a massage on the island at their space. This way, your entrance and lunch are free, and you’re guaranteed to get on the island to make your appointment. After your massage, you are free to spend the rest of the day on the island.

I also recommend booking a massage as early as possible so that you have an opportunity to feed the flamingos. Those who arrive on the island later will realize that the flamingos are full, and thus not as interested in interacing.

2. Open Bar Sunset Cruise

There are tons of sunset sailing experiences on Viator and TripAdvisor, but I recommend finding one that offers an open bar for a younger crowd and livelier crowd.

We got this experience for free through our resort in exchange for sitting through a timeshare presentation. If you’re attending a timeshare presentation, definitely ask beforehand if they can include an experience like this as a gift.

Another tip is to ask for a “double” when ordering drinks. We felt like most of the open bar experiences had drinks that weren’t strong and had tons of mixers in it. When we asked for a double, they were happy to do so!

3. Carnival Dinner @ Eagle Resort

This is a fun experience at The Eagle Resort, where there is a Carnival-themed show. The ticket includes access to a buffet with great options, all of which you can enjoy during this captivating show.

When getting tickets, make sure to ask for a reserved table. We showed up early and saw that almost every table had a reservation sign on it, which we did not realize was an option.

4. Explore the Nightlife, Restaurants & Happy Hours

There are so many delicious restaurants on the island and it’s hard to go wrong. However, I definitely recommend having dinner on the earlier side, so that you can hit a happy hour spot that goes until 9pm.

Our favorite nightlife spot was “Gusto”, and we made sure to have dinner around 6pm, so that we can enjoy the discounted drinks during happy hour.
