The Truth About Truth Astoria

Truth Astoria just launched their bottomless brunch, and I’m here to tell you the truth about it.

How much is it?

For $49/person, you’ll get 1 brunch entree and 2 hours of bottomless brunch cocktails.

While this is typically considered a good deal in itself, what makes it a “bang for your buck” is the aesthetic and quality of the brunch. It’s rare to find such beautifully renovated spaces that offer a bottomless brunch at this price point. I’ll get more into the space later!

What is the food like?

There are 6-7 mains to choose from, with options that both vegetarians and those with a sweet tooth would go wild for. We’re talking fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes. We’re talking a French toast that tastes like a caramel crème brûlée. We’re talking an avocado “toast” on a toasted rice cake topped with chili crisp.

As someone who always leans towards the saltier, heavier, and meat-focused options, I initially wished there was more to choose from. There was a pork belly eggs benedict, steak and eggs, and a chili crispy chicken sandwich with spicy mayo.

However, after trying the sandwich, I realized that this is the type of place that will have a few things on the menu but have them completely perfect. I respect that. I would literally go back to Truth Astoria just for the chili crispy chicken sandwich.

We also tried the pancakes, French toast, and pork belly eggs benedict, and this is the order I would rank everything in:

  1. Chili Crispy Chicken Sandwich

  2. Soufflé Pancakes

  3. Caramel Crème French Toast

  4. Pork Belly Eggs Benedict

What are the drink options?

The bottomless consists of 2 hours of all-you-can-drink mimosas, sangria, Aperol spritz, and margaritas.

The drinks were good, well-balanced, and served in quite possibly the cutest glasses I’ve ever been served for brunch. The details matter at brunch because it is about the overall experience and not JUST the food.

Also… bottomless Aperol spritz in the summer is such a slay.

What is the ambiance like?

This is where it gets fun.

You know when you walk into a place and feel that 2024 renovation vibe? It’s the same feeling of getting into a 2024 car vs. a 2019 car.

I’m honestly not sure when this was renovated, but it’s BEAUTIFUL. It feels like one of those resorts on a tropical island - blooming with flowers, bumping reggaeton music, and the details set to impress.

There’s also a private room downstairs that you can rent for private parties, so if you have something coming up, I recommend considering this spot.
